LodgIQ Reframes Revenue Management Around Profit as Labor Costs Outrun RevPAR

LodgIQ relaunched as a Hotel Commercial Performance Platform, citing three straight years of labor cost growth above RevPAR, with a conversational layer called Wizard.

Hotel labor costs have grown faster than RevPAR for three consecutive years, according to LodgIQ’s relaunch as a Hotel Commercial Performance Platform. The Silicon Valley supplier is using that squeeze to argue that revenue management should be judged on profit, not rate.

The platform has two parts. LodgIQ RMS handles AI-powered pricing and forecasting in Standard and Advanced tiers, with the Advanced tier adding group business intelligence, room and rate code controls, and pace and pickup analysis. LodgIQ Wizard is a conversational layer that surfaces commercial insights across departments and works with LodgIQ RMS or with third-party revenue management systems. The company says it combines predictive, generative and agentic AI so users can question and challenge a recommendation in conversation instead of moving between reports.

President and Chief Commercial Officer Mark Charlinski said owners do not invest in technology to generate more reports but for stronger returns. The announcement ties delayed decisions, missed revenue and limited portfolio visibility to weaker profitability.

Two cautions apply. This is a supplier-contributed press release, so every performance claim is LodgIQ’s own and none is independently verified. And the pitch is a positioning change, not a published result: no customer outcome is cited.

The useful part for operators is the framing. When labor cost growth outruns RevPAR, a rate recommendation that lifts revenue can still lower flow-through. The question to put to any revenue technology vendor is whether the tool reports against profit measures such as GOPPAR and labor cost percentage, and whether an asset manager can challenge a recommendation and see the reasoning. Wizard working with third-party systems also means an owner can test the conversational layer without replacing the pricing engine underneath it.
